Requirements:

• Must be U.S. Citizen or provide a Certificate of Naturalization.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of full-time clinical experience within the last 2 years as a RN.
• Two years of relevant nursing experience within the last 5 years in a similar (or higher) acuity Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, or Pediatric inpatient unit.
• Possess a bachelor's degree of Nursing from an accredited university.
• Possess and maintain a current unrestricted license to practice as an RN in any one of the 50 States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.  

 Duties:
Practice aseptic techniques as necessary.  Comply with infection control guidelines to include the proper handling, storage, and disposal of infectious wastes, and the use of universal precautions to prevent the spread of infection.
Operate and manipulate automated systems such as CHCS, AHLTA, ADS, Essentris, and Clinical Information System (CIS), participate in clinical staff Performance Improvement (PI) and Risk Management (RM) functions, as prescribed by the Commander. Maintain DOD email account as directed. The HCW shall be responsive to all email and voicemail communications. Formulate and carry out a goal directed plan of care which based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes and which is prioritized according to patient needs and available resources including time, personnel, equipment, and supplies. Participate in MHP/MCMH Team huddles/meetings each day to review scheduled appointments, identify MHP/MCMH Team requirements (i.e., supplies and equipment and staff support issues related to the day’s scheduled appointments) and scheduled patient requirements (i.e., scrubbing the schedule to identify diagnostic procedures or medical readiness requirements that may be ordered or prepared before the patient appointment). Perform a full range of RN duties in accordance with assignment under the task order, including:  triage; patient assessment and monitoring; use of patient monitoring and treatment equipment; appropriate nursing care, procedures, and treatments; execution of physicians’ orders within the guidelines of standard nursing practice; documentation of patient care and observations; and patient education and emotional support.

 

Hours: Monday through Friday between the hours of 0600 and 1800 for an 8.5 or 9 hour shift to include an uncompensated 30 minute or 1-hour meal break depending on shift length. No overtime allowed.
 

Start date: 

• As soon as possible pending Federal Security Clearance process completion (typically 4-6 weeks after initiation)

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
• Week-Days
• 8 - Hour Shift
• 7:00 AM, 3 00 PM

Ability to commute:

• Reliably transportation is required and expected for commuting to and from the work site.
