Requirements:

Must be a US Citizen
 - Possess and maintain a current certification and registration as a Radiologic Technologist as determined by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
 - Possess and maintain current certification and registration as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI) as determined by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
 -  A minimum of 1 year of full-time experience as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist within the last three years.

Duties:

Perform a full range of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist functions
and procedures.
 -  Explain the patient procedure and answer relevant questions.
 -  Set up patients and perform necessary adjustments and patient position as prescribed by the diagnostic radiologist or senior Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist.
 - Per manufacturer or representative technical recommendations, perform daily warm-up and quality control checks of MRI equipment.
 - Maintain and clean ultrasound equipment regularly per radiology department standards.
 - Stock and maintain adequate supplies required to perform ultrasound examinations. Recommend necessary repairs when diagnostic quality is
    degraded.
 - Make minor adjustments to equipment. Differentiate artifacts from normal or pathological processes and recognize electronic equipment limitations. Program the examination equipment and set up the machine and scanning techniques to be employed.
 - Review new developments in the field by reading journals and attending meetings/conferences when possible and recommend changes to the Government supervisor to improve the operation of the ultrasound section.
 - Recognize situations requiring patient resuscitation due to cardiac or respiratory arrest and institute emergency measures.


Start date: 

  • As soon as possible pending Federal Security Clearance process completion (typically 4-6 weeks after initiation)


Schedule:

Services shall be provided
Monday through Friday, between 0730 and 2400 hours and 0800 to 1630 on the day
of observance of federal holidays. Shifts will normally be scheduled for an 8.5 to 9-hour period,
including an uncompensated 30 to 60-minute lunch break, respectively. In no instance will the
HCW is required to provide services over 80 hours per two-week period.


Ability to commute:
  • Reliably transportation is required and expected for commuting to and from the work site.


Experience:

A minimum of 1-year full-time experience as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist within the last three years

License(s) / Certification(s):

 - Possess and maintain a current certification and registration as a Radiologic Technologist as determined by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
OR
 - Possess and maintain current certification and registration as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI) as determined by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
