Requirements:
Includes, but not limited to: Bone Densitometry Technologist; Cardiac-Interventional Radiographer; Computed Tomography Technologist; Mammography; MRI Technologist; Radiation Therapy Technologist; Radiologic Technologist; Sonographer Vascular-Interventional Radiographer; Vascular Sonographer
Minimum Qualifications:
• Degree: Certificate.
• Education: Graduate from an academic program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
• Certification: Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in the specialty identified in the Task Order.
• Experience: One year of experience as a radiologic technologist or in the specialty area identified in the Task Order.
Must be U.S. Citizen.
Duties:
• Perform routine diagnostic radiological procedures/services as appropriate to the Task Order.
• Adhere to radiation safety policies and procedures by the Radiology Department policies and procedures.
• Send appropriate image series to the radiologist for reading according to Military Training Facility protocol.
• Correctly position the patient for the examination and make technical adjustments necessary for the required examination. Determine if any special patient preparation is required. • Process digital images and submit them for interpretation by radiologists.
• Document all procedures and maintain records by Military Training Facility policy.
• As directed, perform system calibrations and quality control tasks according to the manufacturer and Military Training Facility policy. Recognize artifacts and equipment errors and notify designated Government personnel of outlying values.
• Initiate repair call procedures for equipment malfunctions by notifying designated Government personnel. Report problems to the Biomedical Repair Section and record the problem condition in the trouble call log book.
• Observe and report any symptoms that directly affect the patient's condition due to adverse reactions to contrast media and inform the radiologist of any condition requiring their attention. Recognize the need for and institute the necessary emergency measures for a person requiring resuscitation procedures due to cardiac or respiratory arrest.

- As soon as possible pending Federal Security Clearance process completion (typically 4-6 weeks after initiation)

Ability to commute:
- Reliably transportation is required and expected for commuting to and from the work site.
